57% ABV114 Proof750ml
This is an unapologetic NAVY-STRENGTH gin, so we’ve turned up the juniper and balanced it out with bold botanicals. The flavor punches through in any cocktail. Experimentation is everything; so sip it, mix it, but most of all enjoy it.
We say, it’s not where you start, it’s where you ENDUP.
The UpEnd Navy Strength Gin is our first iteration and our flagship gin that pays homage to the history of gin. The high proof is matched with a ton of juniper and a bold botanical recipe that includes coriander, lavender, licorice root, cinnamon, clove, and citrus, rounds out the flavor beautifully.
Navy Strength Gin has a fascinating history that is the etymology of the term “proof.” When British sailors would receive their rations of gin in the early 19th century they would mix it with a small amount of gunpowder and put a match to it. If it lit, it was “proofed” or “100 proof.” The ABV in which it lights is 57% so in the UK 100 proof is 57% alcohol by volume. The term transferred to the US but was simplified by doubling the ABV.
There is more to gin than a gin and tonic. Shake up your drinks repertoire by giving UPEND gin the star treatment. Try these great recipes to spice up your next party.
