-Gin-
This is an unapologetic Navy Strength gin, so we’ve turned up the juniper and balanced it out with bold botanicals that include coriander, lavender, licorice root, cinnamon, clove, and citrus.
The flavor is crisp and big; simply enjoy over ice. However, the taste punches through in any cocktail allowing the gin to take center stage; this makes it a perfect selection for classic cocktails like the negroni.
-Cocktail Recipes Below-
UpEnd Navy Strength is our flagship iteration, paying homage to the deep history of the spirit.
Navy Strength has a fascinating story that dates back to at least the 18th century. The British Royal Navy “proofed” their gin by mixing it with gunpowder. If the mixture ignited, it was proof the spirit was undiluted – and that the gunpowder would still fire even if the barrels leaked below deck.
This happens at 57% ABV, or what the British called 100 proof. The US adopted a simplified version – double the ABV, where 50% ABV = 100 proof.
We’ve honored this tradition by bottling our first gin at a bold 57% ABV (114 proof), capturing that same unapologetic intensity for a crisp, unmistakable flavor.
Experimentation is everything; so sip it, mix it, but most of all enjoy it, responsibly. UpEnd your perception of gin. We say, it’s not where you start, it’s where you EndUp.
